The interesting things I do… Backstory, a few months back my father decides to buy 7 yards of fabric that catches his eye. Great, now what.. so off to the Salvation Army to find a cheap chair.

Now fast forward past winter to last Sunday. The movers are scheduled to pack all the furniture to be taken to Moscow Thursday morning.. Shit chair still needs to be done, and it’s a busy week. I guess that’s why God invented energy drinks and longs nights.

Step one, recover the seating surfaces with new foam. (Notice the new marshal spring unit instead of foam for the cushion)

Step two, add additional springs to cheap ass chair.

Step three, sew new covers from the old templates

Step four, put it all together without wrinkles!

And finished! Obviously there are a few additional steps needed, total time was approximately 21 hours over the course of 3 nights. Next time anyone sees this chair will be 10-12 weeks from now in Moscow.

Special thank you to my good friend Scott Manning for showing me the tips and tricks and working on this alongside me.
